Prosertek’s support for the Alboan campaign to support farmers in Peru

Prosertek is joining forces with the Development NGO Alboan to support the families from the Alto Piura corridor in the north of Peru, a rural area where the majority of the population makes a living from small subsistence agriculture. It involves 164 peasant families integrated around a cocoa harvesting cooperative who face great challenges such as the small size of the plots and the lack of technical resources, which hamper the productivity of their crops. Its internationalisation strategy has given Prosertek the opportunity to learn about many things taking place and visited the Piura region in April to find out more about the project. This experience has made us dedicated ourselves even more to the needs of these families. For this reason, we at Prosertek wish to do our bit to enable these families to have the technical resources to allow them to work more efficiently and prosper as a result. The goal is to reach 5,000 euros to make technical improvements to the cocoa transformation process taking place in the cooperative plant. Mare Commercial Diving given the go ahead to perform underwater inspections of ships

The hull is one part of a ship that requires constant maintenance and care for the ship to continue to operate safely and in accordance with the law. This means that every so often thorough inspections must be carried out that are highly recommended to be performed in the water. Mare Commercial Diving (MCD), a company from the Prosertek Group, has just being approved as a supplier of submarine services to ships (In Water Surveys). This followed a thorough assessment process of quality systems, administrative protocols and work procedures. Those responsible for accrediting it are the main Classification Societies such as the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), Bureau Veritas (BV), Det Norske Veritas-Germanischer Lloyd (DNVGL), Lloyd’s Register (LR) and Nippon Kaiji Kyokai ‘ClassNK’ (NK). They have have certified that MCD’s technical staff, facilities and equipment meet international standards to perform underwater inspections of ships. This inspection allows MCD to expand its range of services for the shipbuilding industry, since underwater inspection in lieu of dry-docking, (UWILD) allow ships to avoid costly berthing in dry dock to carry out mandatory periodic inspections. The Prosertek Group acquires stakes in Siport21, thereby strengthening its entrance to the field of new technologies applied to the port sector. Siport21 is dedicated to the business of port simulation and consultancy and this incorporation will enable Prosertek to forge ahead in its mission of providing value to clients while competing in the emerging field of Smart Ports. Prosertek America moves from Miami to Houston

In its constant search to adapt to its clients’ needs, Prosertek is moving its US headquarters from Miami to Houston. The new office entered into operation 7 July 2020. Miami was the first piece in Prosertek’s internationalisation strategy.
